Rita Ora saved her raciest Met Gala look till last when she was papped leaving the bash sporting a completely see-through dress.

The Masked Singer judge, 33, had already got tongues wagging earlier in the evening on Monday when she arrived at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York with her husband Taika Waititi, 48, wearing nothing but colourful streamers and a sheer leotard, which barely covered her bum.

But Rita had another surprise up her sleeve when she was seen beaming with the Thor director, wearing a sizzling sheer outfit. Her striking skirt consisted of little more than a few strings of white plastic beads with a some oversized white plastic flowers with silver studs to preserve the singer's modesty.

Adding a touch of glamour to her look, Rita's revealing dress was teamed with an oversized white feathered wrap, which she swished around joyfully.

Earlier in the evening, the RIP star admitted her outfit for the Met Gala presented a particular challenge on the night. The singer-songwriter opted to wear a dress that was designed by Marni, which consisted of a nude bodysuit with a colourful display of beads over the top of it.

The Brit award winner gushed the outfit embodied "timeless beauty," with the Met Gala's theme understood to have been based around the museum's exhibition Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion. The dress code, approved by Vogue guru Anna Wintour, was 'The Garden in Time,' which is inspired by a short story of the same name by the later author JG Ballard.

Speaking to Extra at the event, Rita said: "It's actually very old beads from the 1st and 2nd century BC. These actually have been handpicked all over sort of North Africa and Europe, and it just embodies this kind of timeless beauty from centuries and centuries so that's what we wanted to do."

She then suggested that "playing with nature and time" is "really unique", adding that "understanding what beauty means" to attendees is "really, really cool".

However, while Rita's skintight dress, worn underneath the colourful streamers, provided a fantastic photo opportunity, it looked somewhat unforgiving when it came to the matter of going to the toilet.

When presenter Met gala Mona Kosar Abdi pointed out to the singer that she had managed to navigate the stairs of the Met Museum, Rita teased: "Yes, but now, going to the toilet's another thing, and I'll leave that there!"
