PLAYSTATION gamers are unable to access PS Stars on their phones right now, as the loyalty scheme appears to be down.
Many users report that the PlayStation Stars icon, which shows every player’s Stars level in the PS App, has disappeared completely.
The US PlayStation Stars home page now shows a warning about the outageCredit: Sony Interactive EntertainmentOthers can still see their Stars level but get an error when they tap the icon to open the loyalty scheme’s section in the app.
The outage comes at quite a busy time, as Sony is running its Days of Play 2024 sale, which also features campaigns and collectibles that players can earn through PS Stars.
Most Days of Play campaigns expire on June 12, so if PlayStation Stars takes long to fix, many players will have trouble earning their free rewards.

There is usually no other way for users to check their points and to redeem rewards, as PS Stars doesn't appear on the PS4 and PS5 consoles.
Disgruntled PlayStation Stars members took to Reddit to express their disappointment with the situation.
“Was about to cash out 10 dollars today :// knew I should've done it last night”, one user wrote.
The sudden disappearance of PlayStation Stars has caused confusion even among some PS support agents at first.
One user wrote on Reddit, that despite having reached the highest Level 4 on Stars, they were told by support that they weren’t a member of the programme.
Sony has acknowledged the issue and is now telling players that its engineering team is hard at work to restore the service.
The US home page of PlayStation Stars now displays a message about the outage:
“PlayStation Stars is currently experiencing issues. Our engineers are aware of the issue and we are working on a solution.”
Players are advised by support to check back later, without specifying a deadline by which the loyalty scheme will reappear.

It allows PS players to earn points on their game purchases from the PlayStation Store and to complete campaigns that earn them digital collectibles.
Points can then be exchanged for other digital goodies, or to get select video games, in-game currency or PS Store credit for free.
Recently, Sony added Stellar Blade as a reward on PS Stars, and players could grab the latest PS5 exclusive game for points.
Campaigns usually involve playing or buying specific games, and earning in-game trophies; there are also milestones based on number of games bought and rare trophies earned.
As users reach these milestones, they level up their membership to unlock exclusive collectibles, priority when contacting PlayStation support and other perks.
Hopefully, the issue with PlayStation Stars will be solved soon, so that users can grab their Days of Play rewards in time.
