A DISABLED child has been mauled to death by crocodiles after his mum hurled him into a reptile infested river.
His father demanded the woman "throw the child away" before the boy, 6, was killed by the beasts.
Savitri Kumar, 26, from Karnataka, India was allegedly embroiled in an explosive row with her son's father, Ravi Kumar, 27, before the horror unfolded, reports the Times of India.
Police say her husband reportedly questioned her decision to give birth to a mute child.
When the parents fought about their son again on Saturday evening, Savitri was "distressed" and reportedly threw her son into a waste canal that flows into the Kali river - where huge crocodiles prowl the waters.

Neighbours who witnessed this called the police, who deployed divers to search for the boy but due to the darkness they had no success.
They returned on Sunday morning and found the child's mutilated body with one hand missing and bite marks all over.
A local police officer suggested that the boy was mauled to death by one or more crocodiles.
A postmortem has been ordered to determine the six-year-old's cause of death.
Officers have launched an investigation into the incident.
