MILLIONS of PC owners have been warned Google Chrome may become buggy and unsafe as soon as next week.
The tech behemoth is making a major change to the world's most popular web browser in line with Microsoft.
Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 were recently dropped, meaning anyone still using the aged operating system will no longer get important security updates.
These updates are essential for fixing any vulnerabilities and hiccups before hackers exploit them.

Google revealed last year that February's release of Chrome will be the first not to support Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
The next version of Chrome, Chrome 110, will only work on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
This will make Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 doubly dangerous for anyone still using it.
Chrome 110 is expected to be released to the public on February 7.
According to Statcounter.com, 11.2 percent of PCs were still running Windows 7 as of December 2022.
And 2.6 percent were also on the less-loved Windows 8.1.
The pair were launched way back in October 2009 and October 2013 respectively.
If you're still using either, chances are you're using dated kit which can't be upgraded to Windows 10 or Windows 11.
This unfortunately means you'll have to buy a new PC altogether to stay safe.
"Older versions of Chrome will continue to work, but there will be no further updates released for users on these operating systems," Google said.

"If you are currently on Windows 7 and Windows 8/8.1, we encourage you to move to a supported Windows version to ensure you continue to receive the latest security updates and Chrome features."
