Dani Dyer has made a public show of support for her boyfriend Jarrod Bowen amid mounting controversy surrounding the Euros 2024 England squad.
The former Love Island star took to social media to praise her partner and the dad of their twins on Thursday when it was announced that the West Ham forward had been selected by England boss, Gareth Southgate. But Southgate's decision hasn't gone down well with fans with many criticising him for dropping some of the biggest names.
While Bowen has made the list of strikers, many fans reacted angrily to the news Jack Grealish won't be joining them for the tournament.
Ahead of the tournament which kick stars next week, Bowen, 27, will play alongside the likes of Declan Rice, Harry Kane, Kyle Walker, Phil Foden and John Stones. Following the news, ever-so-proud Dani took to social media to celebrate Jarrod being called up.
In view of her 3.7million followers on Instagram, the mum-of-three re-shared a snap from the official England team, noting who would be playing this year. Writing alongside the image, Dani penned: "Honestly the best news ever... So so so proud of you @jarrodbowen," alongside three heart emojis.

Jarrod makes Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad for @england's Euro 2024 campaign." Jarrod meanwhile, saying: "First major tournament. It's an honour," as Dani replied: "So so proud... Love you." Meanwhile, Danny Dyer, Jarrod's father-in-law found out live on talkSPORT that the ace had been selected by Southgate.
"Yes!" he exclaimed, before adding: "I swear to God, I had no idea. So he's going, he's on the plane – as he should be! Listen, I'm over the moon mate. This kid, he deserves it. He's worked hard. I thought he had a lovely 90 minutes [against Bosnia]." He added: "But I'm over the moon! That's great for my Dani as well, and Jarrod, because they didn't quite know what they were doing this summer you know having a holiday or not. That also means I'm going to the Euros!"
But while some have expressed excitement, others have been left disappointed after Jack Grealish, James Maddison, Curtis Jones, Harry Maguire, James Trafford, Jarrel Quansah and Jarrad Branthwaite, who have been given the boot by Southgate. Reports claim that one senior member of the England squad had approached Southgate to understand his decision to axe the lads.Speaking about his decision, Southgate said: "All the players took the decisions respectfully.
"And all the players believe they should be in, that's why they're all top players with that mindset. We have some players that have performed extremely well this season and other players have had stronger seasons. IIn the attacking positions we're blessed with a lot of options and Madders [James Maddison] and Jack give us something different.
"They were tough calls, but we back our decisions but recognise we could've gone a different route. It was sad to have to deliver that news to them."
