Kirstie Allsopp has revealed in a heartfelt tribute that her dad, Lord Hindlip has died.
The presenter took to social media to praise the former 6th Baron Hindlip describing him as a "real star" and expressing how she's always been "so proud" of him following his passing on June 5. "This is my Dad, Charlie Hindlip," the Location, Location, Location star posted on social media, alongside a photo of her father. "He was a great auctioneer, the best of his generation, an artist, a gardener, a father of four, and grandfather of eight, a loving husband to a wife he lost too soon."
"He was a real star, he worked hard, played hard and went further than anyone ever expected. He died at home yesterday, surrounded by love, flowers and photographs, in a house he built, looking out over a stunning garden he created from scratch."
Wrapping up her emotional message, she added: "I have been so proud to be his daughter all my life, and will be until the day I die. Bless you Dad, we loved you so much."
The Location, Location, Location star was flooded with heartfelt messages of support, including from her co-host Phil Spencer who wrote: "What a hugely talented and charismatic man your dear Dad was - a proper legend of his time. He really did live an extraordinary life. Sending all of you masses and masses of love and strength."

He sounds like the best kind of Father… how lucky you were… You will all be in my thoughts and prayers."
The sad announcement comes just weeks after the Channel 4 personality opened up about her father being hospitalised on May 24. At that time, she had tweeted, "When my Dad was very ill in 2022 I used my energy and endless time by his bed to tweet about visiting hours; many hospitals were still operating unnecessary COVID-related restrictions. Dad is back in the hospital, hopefully briefly, this time".
Hindlip, a hereditary peer and businessman, served in the House of Lords from 1993 until 1999 and was educated at Eton College. He was married to Kirstie's mother Fiona Atherley, an interior designer, who sadly passed away in 2014 aged 66 after battling breast cancer for 25 years. The couple had four children together: Kirstie, Henry, Sophia and Natasha.
Hindlip held the position of chairman at the British auction house Christies for 40 years before retiring in 2002. In 1997, he famously acted as auctioneer for Princess Diana's dresses, raising a staggering £2.8million for charity just two months before her untimely death.
