Mrs Hinch's 'deep unimaginable pain' as her dad dies suddenly in his sleep

Mrs Hinch, real name Sophie Hinchliffe, announced her dad had died 'suddenly but so peacefully in his sleep'.

The heartbroken star took to her Instagram page to share a few throwback photos of her and her beloved father at her wedding and photos of her with him when she was a young child as she announced the news to fans. Her dad passed away suddenly on April 25 and her world was 'turned upside down'.

She wrote: "25th April 2024. My precious Dad passed suddenly but so peacefully whilst he slept. My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. A deep unimaginable pain I cannot put into words. My loving Dad, Your workshop is locked up and I sleep with the key. I promise to keep your workshop dream going.

"Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight Dad My absolute king Your Bubberloo [heartbroken emoji]. “Grief, I’ve learned, is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give, but cannot. All that unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go"."

Her followers rushed to the comment section to share their condolences, with one fan writing: "Oh Sophie I'm so heartbroken for you & your family at this sad time," and another posted: "Oh Sophie, we are so so sorry for your loss. Sending so much love to you and your family. Take as much time off here as you need, we’ll all be here on your return."

One user wrote: "Oh Sophie this is so sad. Your dad was your world as you were his. He is still here just on another way looking down on you and still so, so proud of all you have achieved. Sending you lots of love. To you, the boys and all your family. Take care, darling."

Last year, Mrs Hinch took a break from social media when her dad was hospitalised. She opened up about her struggles in an emotional video on Instagram. A few weeks later, Sophie told how her dad was home and posted a picture of him with her two children, Ronnie and Lennie.

At the time, she explained: "So, my dad is in hospital at the moment. My dad has never been blessed, shall we say, with fantastic health, from his chest, his lungs, his heart. He's always struggled." Sophie then spoke about how, when her dad retired, she made him a workshop when she and her family moved into their £1million "forever home" farmhouse, which they filled with wood and tools so he "could live this dream that he's had since he was a little boy."
