Pink's UK concerts thrown into chaos as singer issues health update

Pink has announced just hours before her latest concert in the UK that she is unwell.

The singer, 44, shared the news in a post on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, in which she told fans that she had a stomach bug ahead of her concert at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. The gig in Wales is understood to be the opening concert for the latest leg of her ongoing Summer Carnival tour.

Footage shared with fans earlier showed Pink preparing for the show. She said: "Hi everybody. I'm here with Yvette. She is getting ready to put lashes on my face. I hate lashes! I hate them. Let's see - what can I tell you? It's show day one, we are in Cardiff, Wales, we are super-grateful and super-excited!"

The performer continued by telling her fans: "I am starting the tour off with a stomach bug and my period - very exciting stuff. I'm 44, I wear a leotard to work, and life could not be better. We love you very much and we can't wait to see you."

It's been reported by WalesOnline that fans who headed to the concert at the Principality Stadium faced traffic delays on the M4 with up to 20 miles of congestion. Drivers crossing into Wales for the show were said to have faced long delays around the Brynglas Tunnels. The concert is understood to have opened, with support acts said to have already performed and fans awaiting Pink taking to the stage herself for the show.

Pink launched her Summer Carnival tour last year. It opened with a series of concerts in England, before heading to a host of other countries including the Netherlands and Canada. The previous leg concluded in Australia in March this year.

Following the opening of the latest leg in Wales this week, Brit Award winner Pink is scheduled to perform at various locations in the UK and Ireland over the coming weeks. She's understood to be due to head to other countries in Europe afterwards, before concluding the tour in the US.
