Matty Healy appears to have got engaged to his girlfriend Gabbriette Bechtel.
Model and musician Gabbriette, 26, showed off her huge diamond ring on social media. Alongside the snap of her ring while watching Charli XCX perform, she said: "Marrying the 1975 is very brat @trumanblack." Matty, who is the lead singer of band The 1975, is yet to confirm the news himself but re-shared Gabbriette's snap onto his own account. The posts quickly sent fans into a frenzy.
Following his fling with Taylor Swift last year, Matty, 34, found love with Gabbriette. She is the lead singer of punk rock band Nasty Cherry, and has been romantically connected to Matty since September of the previous year. Meanwhile, Taylor is also enjoying a high-profile relationship with Kansas City Chiefs' Travis Kelce.

One said: "cannot believe matty healy just announced his engagement by reposting his fiancées story AFTER a thousand memes and tweets. we are so back." Another added: "I just know her wedding dress is going to be so gothic and cool. I can't wait." Someone else commented: "So happy for them! They both deserve all the happiness!"
A fan shared: "I said to my mom I have a feeling he will marry gabbriette I feel like she’s the one he’s gonna stay with and damn was I right." However, some fans shared their doubts on the news as one said: "maybe I’m stupid but I don’t know if this is real bye." Another added: "NOOOOOOOOOOO." Many also referenced Taylor Swift's latest album, in which she publicly called out Matty on a number of songs following their brief romance.

In 'The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived', Taylor belts out: "You tried to buy some pills from a friend of friends of mine/ But they just ghosted you/ Now you know what it feels like,". Devotees saw it as a nod to Matty, who is the offspring of celebs Denise Welch and Tim Healy. The song describes a man in a "Jehovah's Witness suit" who was "rusting my sparkling summer", a possible jab at Matty's penchant for donning suits on stage and their rumoured split last summer.

According to Debbie: "He will not be surprised by the song. Him and her know what went on."
Touching on the known fact that Swift pens songs about her ex-lovers, she added: "I don't think it will come as a shock to him at all." In a candid chat with the Daily Mail, Debbie revealed that Matty is "very happy" in his new relationship with Gabbriette and indicated that their family "know a bit more about what went on" with Swift "than has been in the press". Taylor and Matty, who initially crossed paths and sparked a flirtation in 2014, had a fleeting romance last year when he flew out to join her on the Nashville stop of her Era's tour.
Earlier this year, Matty was snapped introducing Gabbriette to his family. The couple supported Loose Women star Denise Welch on her new theatre stint in Manchester. Gabbriette spent time with Matty's family at the show, including his younger brother Louis Healy, 22, their father Tim Healy, 72, and his wife Joan Anderton, 62. Denise wrote in the caption of the post: "Lovely to have the family in to see mum at work!!!"
