IVAN TONEY wants to fire England to glory at Euro 2024 before getting a celebratory tattoo. . . on his head.

The Brentford striker is part of Gareth Southgate’s squad preparing for Sunday’s opening clash against Serbia in Gelsenkirchen.

Toney, who has tattoos all over his body, was asked if he will get another one if England win the final in Berlin on July 14.

He joked: “Yes, 100 per cent. If we win, of course. I think I’ll get the trophy on my forehead or something!

“I think it goes without saying I'll have to get a little memorable one - and hopefully it's a good one.”

Toney, who returned from an eight-month betting ban in January, is convinced England will win the Euros.

He said: “Yes, I believe. I believe it with the players we have in the team. We know it's a long, long way to go and a big ask.

"If you believe and think positively, then positive things will happen.”

“I think, as a player, you want to be on the biggest stage and be recognised by the whole world and do something great for your country.”

Toney has an impressive record at penalties and he could be useful if a tie goes to a shoot-out.

He said: “It’s not been mentioned but if it comes to it we’ll practise and see who can step up and put it in the back of the net.”

Toney is clearly hoping for a big-money move this summer with Chelsea and Tottenham among the clubs who have tracked him although Arsenal have dropped out of the race.

He told BBC Five Live: “It’s nice to be linked with other clubs but I’ve had disappointment in the past and nothing’s done until it’s done.

"I’m still a Brentford player and I’ve still got to focus on that and doing well for Brentford in the upcoming season. That’s the main thing.

“Obviously, if it was to come I’d be ready regardless but I’ve got to remain focused and not let other things and the noise get the best of me.”
