EFL chiefs have been left frustrated by Wembley Stadium and the Metropolitan Police over the kick-off times of their showpiece events.

The former is set to kick off at 3pm on Sunday, 26 May.

While Bolton will face Oxford for a place in the second tier at 4:15pm on Saturday, 18 May.

And Crawley will take on Crewe in the League Two play-off final a day later, kicking off at 1pm.

According to the Mail, the EFL are frustrated that their finals are not being allowed to kick off at later, "more coveted" times.

Next month's Champions League final between Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund will kick off at 8pm on Saturday, 1 June.

While the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester City and Chelsea was allowed to start at 5:15pm last month.

February's Carabao Cup final, meanwhile, kicked off at 3pm.

The national stadium has hosted the EFL's play-off finals since 2007.

An exception was made in 2011, when Wembley hosted the Champions League final between Manchester United and Barcelona.

That year the EFL found an agreement to have the Championship play-off final under the arch.

But the League One and League Two showpieces were moved north to Old Trafford.
