A ONE-year-old baby was snatched from her grandma's arms in broad daylight in a popular holiday hotspot.
A 60-year-old man grabbed the tot and attempted to take her away before fleeing the scene in Lanzarote.

The attacker forcefully tried to take the tot but the woman bravely fought back, Canaria Weekly reports.
After his failed attempt to kidnap the child, he tried to flee the scene, leaving the woman on the ground with injuries to her face.

The kidnapper, identified by the La Voz de Lanzarote by the initials T.V. is apparently known in the area.
Both the woman and the baby suffered minor injuries in the attack and were taken to hospital.
It comes after a British baby died after a "drunk and drugged up" driver ploughed into a group of pedestrians in Lanzarote.
The parents and grandparents of the five-month-old and a mum and daughter from Sweden were also injured after a vehicle mounted the pavement in the popular resort of Playa Blanca.
