COUNTRY legend Dolly Parton hails from Wales and is heading there to explore her roots.
The 9 to 5 star, 78, was born in Tennessee but has discovered her ancestors were closer to Tenby.
Here's what Dolly Parton could look like in Wales as she's set to explore her family roots thereDolly and her family will visit the valleys — with its rich singing tradition — in a TV special out next year.
Her niece, singer Jada Star, told The Sun they traced their DNA to Wales.
She said: “Dolly is releasing a four-part docu-series about our roots and where we come from. There’ll be lots of footage from over there.”
From tongue scraping to saying no, here are 12 health trends to try in 2023Jada continued: “Dolly is exactly as you would imagine her as an aunt.
“I have never seen her unglammed in my life. She never wears slippers.
“Even when she’s lounging around her own house in PJ’s she still wears Fredericks fluffy Marabou high heel slip-ons.
“She has them in every colour to slip on when she’s relaxing at home.”
Jada will follow in her aunt’s footsteps next month and play Glastonbury.
She said: “Dolly is so excited for me. Her main advice was, ‘Make sure to bring your rain boots’.”
Dolly’s 2014 performance at the festival gave her a “new lease of life”, added Jada, whose new single Keeper of My Heart is out now.
