Yet, the tale took a sour turn as the Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, had a notorious fallout and haven't exchanged words since.

Noel's first forays into love were nothing short of intense. At just 18, he plunged into a passionate relationship with his then-girlfriend Diane. Noel Gallagher and his former partner were engaged during the nascent stages of their relationship, however, things eventually crumbled and they never tied the knot.
The '90s saw Noel moving in with his other half, Louise Jones, just three years later. Inspired by her, he produced one of Oasis' major hits, Slide Away.
Unfortunately, their rocky on-and-off relationship ultimately led to their split in 1994.
Flatmate's mate becomes wife
When it comes to his first marriage, Noel met Meg Matthews in 1994 when he was dating MTV presenter Rebecca de Ruvo, who had been sharing a flat with Meg. Regardless of his ongoing relationship with Rebecca, he fell head over heels for the ex-music exec, Meg. The pair quickly turned into eminent party-goers. After enjoying three years of dating, they said 'I do' in a ceremony in Las Vegas, graced by celebs like Kate Moss.

Sara and Noel called time on their marriage after 11 years together last January (GC Images)In 2000, Noel and Meg were blessed with a daughter named Anais. However, they soon found themselves drifting apart and eventually called it quits. By 2001, they finalised their divorce and have since remained out of touch.
Ibiza romance led to long-term love
During this period, Noel crossed paths with his future second wife, Sara MacDonald, at a club in Ibiza in 2000. Their chemistry was undeniable and they swiftly started their romantic journey, which Noel echoed in his 2008 song "Waiting for the Rapture".
The couple reminisced about their first real date at the Lanesborough Hotel in central London, which led to him proposing in 2011. They married in the same year and expanded their family with two more children.
'My wife said she'd stop seeing fella at work but I keep catching them at it'

Reflecting on the split, Gallagher shared: "When you get to your mid-50s you do come to some kind of crossroads in your life, it's not uncommon for people who have been in long-term relationships to go their separate ways in their 50s."
