Manchester United winger Antony is joint-top of a list of players with the greatest transfer value decreases last season.

The 24-year-old endured a difficult 2023/24 campaign, registering only five goal contributions across his 38 appearances in all competitions. He's also got the weight of the £86million fee United paid for him hanging over his head.

They look unlikely to recoup anywhere near that sum if they decide to sell him this summer, with Transfermarkt now estimating him to be worth €25million (£21m). That's a drop of €35m (£29.5m) from July 2023.

And it's only matched by France forward Randal Kolo Muani, who joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in a €90m (£76m) transfer last summer. His proposed market value has fallen from €80m (£67m) to €45m (£38m).

In third place is Neymar, who made a €90m (£76m) move of his own to the Saudi Pro League's Al-Hilal. That was an overpayment compared to the €60m (£50.5m) he was estimated to be worth - which has now halved.

An ACL injury which has ruled the 32-year-old out of action since October will have contributed to that. Wesley Fofana of Chelsea has been sidelined for a whole year with the same problem.

As a result, his valuation has also dropped by €30m (£25m) to €25m (£21m). Tottenham's Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg follows in fifth, seeing his price tag drop by €27m (£23m) from €45m (£38m) to €18m (£15m).

That will be mainly because his contract in north London is approaching its final year. There's a four-way tie in sixth place between Joshua Kimmich, Reece James, Mason Mount and Joao Cancelo, all with €25m (£21m) decreases.

Kimmich has gone from €75m (£63m) to €50m (£42m), as like Hojbjerg his deal with Bayern Munich expires in 2025. James' repeated injury woes, which kept him in the treatment room for much of the season again, mean he's fallen from €65m (£55m) to €40m (£34m).

Mount, who United surprisingly paid £60m to Chelsea for last summer, has dropped from the €60m (£50.5m) mark to €35m (£29.5m) after his own injury-hit season. And Cancelo, who was on loan at Barcelona from Manchester City, saw his halve from €50m (£42m).

Rounding out the top 10 of the greatest decreases is Marco Verratti, who after joining Qatari side Al-Arabi from PSG in September in a €45m (£38m) move has seen his €40m (£34m) estimation also cut in half.
