Princess Kate and Princess Charlotte co-ordinated the colour of their outfits today with a nautical theme in a touching mother-daughter tribute.
The pair were seen shortly leaving Buckingham Palace in a horse-drawn carriage, following behind King Charles and Queen Camilla as part of the Trooping the Colour parade.
Kate wore a snow-white dress adorned with a pure black trim and tie at the top of the monochrome number. Reversing the colours, Princess Charlotte wore a black pinafore with ivory trim and tie.
Scores of royal fans have lined the parade route in central London, hoping for a glimpse of the Princess, who has been bravely battling cancer. She received her shock diagnosis a number of months ago and has not been seen in public while managing the unspecified form of the condition.

She is later expected to hop into a carriage making its way for the Trooping the Colour celebrations.

It comes hours after she released a statement, alongside a stunning new photo of the royal posing outside, in which she admitted she has endured some "harder times". She said: "I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days.

She added: "My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On the days I feel well enough, it is a joy to engage with school life, spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as start to do a little work from home."

The Princess said she would carry out work "knowing I am not out of the woods", while the Palace added plans could change at the last minute.
