Lisa Armstrong is said to have headed abroad following the news that her ex-husband Ant McPartlin welcomed his first child with his wife Anne-Marie Corbett recently.
Ant, 48, announced the arrival of newborn Wilder in a post on Instagram on Tuesday. The presenter and Anne-Marie, 46, who has two children from a previous relationship, have been met with well wishes on the platform over the news.
It has now been reported that Ant's ex-wife Lisa, 47, whom he was married to for more than a decade prior to their divorce, has gone on holiday after the news. It has been suggested that she may be hoping to "escape the buzz" of it.
The makeup artist - who has worked on shows like Strictly Come Dancing in her career - is said to have travelled abroad on Wednesday for a holiday. A source told the MailOnline recently: "Lisa has jetted off to Portugal to getaway, no doubt to escape the buzz around Ant's news."

Derek, who's known as 'Degs,' passed away, aged 71, on May 13, 2019, following an apparent cancer diagnosis.

Around the same time as Ant's post on Tuesday, Lisa took to her Instagram Story to share a post from another page. It included a quote that read: "Be proud of how you have been handling these past few months. The silent battles you've fought, the moments you've had to humble yourself, the times you've wiped your own tears. Celebrate your strength."
It comes after a source told OK! magazine last month that Lisa, whose separation from Ant was announced in 2018, has done "a lot of healing over the past few years". It was suggested that she now wants "everyone to be happy".
The source said at the time: "Lisa knows Ant is ready to move on with the next chapter of his life - she doesn’t want to be angry anymore. [...] Lisa loved him so much and now she just wants everyone to be happy, Ant included."
Ant announced the birth of his newborn baby earlier this week. His post included a photo of him cradling Wilder. Alongside the photo, he wrote: "Welcome to the family Wilder Patrick Mcpartlin. Born, 14/05/24 at 8.54am. Baby is beautiful, Mummy's a legend. Sisters are over the moon. Dad's a mess!"
It has been reported that Ant will now be taking paternity leave to spend some time with his family. And it's been suggested that he will return to TV for the Britain's Got Talent semi-finals, which are set to begin later this month.
