The full schedule for the 2024 NFL season has been unveiled, with some intriguing matchups for the Dallas Cowboys during a key year for the franchise.

The Super Bowl champions, Kansas City Chiefs, will kick-start the new season at home on September. 5, hosting the Baltimore Ravens in a rematch of the AFC Championship game. The Chiefs are aiming for a 3-peat this year and will feature in the second-ever Black Friday game before playing on Christmas Day, marking Netflix's first acquisition of NFL rights.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys face mounting pressure to return to the Super Bowl for the first time since 1995 after another disappointing year. They'll go head-to-head with the New York Giants in a divisional clash on Thanksgiving and will also meet the Ravens in Week 3.

This marks the first time they've been scheduled to play Baltimore since 2020, and they'll also face the Cleveland Browns for the first time in four seasons. The Cincinnati Bengals, Houston Texans and Pittsburgh Steelers are also on the Cowboys' 2024 agenda, all teams they didn't play last year.

Long-standing owner Jerry Jones remains confident that his team, the Cowboys, still have a shot at winning a championship. Last year, he declared that they were the best team in the NFC East.

His prediction proved accurate as they triumphed over the Philadelphia Eagles to secure the divisional crown. However, they suffered another early exit from the postseason. The Cowboys are heading into a crucial year with both linebacker Micah Parsons and quarterback Dak Prescott due for significant contract extensions.

This could be why there's been little activity during the offseason. They've welcomed running back Ezekiel Elliott back after a year with New England, but another unsuccessful year could spell trouble.
