A horrified mum has slammed the actions of two bullies who attacked and tormented her son in vile videos circulating online.
Amanda Pheonix, from North Yorkshire, was left horrified after she was sent multiple videos of her 13-year-old son Ashton being beaten by two bullies. The mum claims her son was tormented by the two boys over a period of four months.
She told the Mirror that he was attacked on three separate occasions. But it was only reported to the police after the third as her son was so scared it would get worse if he told anyone that he hid it from her.
She said: "He's absolutely petrified. I didn't see Ashton when he came home, but his best friend, who was with him came to me and told me he'd been jumped and that they've made a mess of him.
"But they've told him that if he grasses, it's going to get worse. I went upstairs straight away. Ashton had bloody face and everything. I asked what happened – even though I knew and he tried to lie and say that he'd been play-fighting with his friend.

"Luckily, he lived to tell the tale. One wrong punch and he could have been dead. But the attackers, at the end of it they just said 'that was fun' and walked off."
In two of the clips, the attackers were seen kicking and punching the terrified teen as he was curled up in a ball against a wall, trying to protect his head.
Further footage showed the schoolboy being told to like his attackers shoes. "Give it a good lick," a girl voice says, taunting the victim while she films the whole incident.
Now, Amanda fears for the long-term effects on her son's mental health after the "degrading" and "humiliating" attack. The mum claims Ashton has been left so shaken from a string of attacks that he is too scared to leave the house.
"He used to walk to school but not he has to be taken and dropped off," she said. "The other day he was only in school for two and a half hours before he had to be picked up again because he had an anxiety attack.
"He suffers from anxiety and depression. Physically, the bruises are healing and the scars will heal, but mentally, I don't see him ever being the same again."
The mum claims videos were sent to her by her son's ex-girlfriend, who lives 10 miles away, after they had been sent around. She took to a local Facebook group to appeal for information to help with the police investigation.
North Yorkshire Police have confirmed two teenage boys have been arrested over the incident. A spokesperson said in a statement: "Following an incident which occurred on Thursday 9 May in Selby two boys, aged 13 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
"Both have since been interviewed and released on conditional bail. The matter will now be referred to the Youth Outcome Panel."
