Anyone looking for a mobile upgrade may want to save EE's front page this weekend, as the UK provider launches huge price drops across its plans. Those who pick certain Google or Samsung models can save as much as £480 off the price.

It's the latest mega saving for mobile fans to consider, one added to the many slight price tweaks across the likes of Argos, Amazon, and John Lewis each week. To get the mega saving though, phone fans will have to add one essential thing to their basket before they click 'checkout'.

That's adding the Unlimited Data EE essentials plan alongside their chosen Google or Samsung phone to the checkout, as doing so will cut hundreds of pounds off the price. Like a £480 saving on the Pixel 8 Pro, £240 knocked off the price of the Galaxy S24 Plus, or a £336 price drop on the older S23.

No matter the mobile you pick from its sale list (which we'll get to shortly) you'll have to choose the unlimited data option, ideal for those who like to eagerly scroll on social media, listen to podcasts, stream music, and watch videos but as a little heads up it will make the plan more expensive per month - despite the mega saving.

So, which phones are a lot cheaper? Well out of 11 in the sale there are two Google Pixel 8 Pro models with a choice between the 128GB or bigger 256GB model, with the other nine models reserved for Samsung fans. The Google Pixel 8 Pro models have the biggest savings of £480 (starting at £58 a month) alongside the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, which would cost £65 a month on a 24-month contract with an upfront cost of £30.

The next eye-catching price drop, that caught our eye anyway, is on the older Samsung S23 model (launched in 2023) where shoppers will save £336 when they buy it with the EE Unlimited Data plan. And it's £43 a month price may just convince shoppers to switch from the idea of buying the newer S24 model which is set at a much pricier £76 a month - that's £1,824 across the full two-year contract.

We've dropped the full list of savings below, but as techies will sea the latest Apple iPhone 15 models have been left of the unlimited data deal list. Although a scour around and Apple fans can still find a money-saving offer over at John Lewis where its cut £500 off the prices.

This makes the iPhone 15 Pro £899 as opposed to its usual £949 price, and the bigger iPhone 15 Pro Max is now available for £1,099, not its usual £1,149 price. Anyone who already has a swanky smartphone at home, but still on the lookout for a way to save on their data could make the most of iD Mobile's newest £3.50 a month deal. Yes, for the price users can get 60GB of monthly data to user with any mobile.
