Arsenal face arguably one of their biggest matches in two decades this weekend.

Mikel Arteta’s men take on Everton on Sunday still with the chance to end their long wait for a Premier League crown. They need a big favour from West Ham however.

The Hammers entertain current leaders Manchester City. If they manage to get any sort of result against Pep Guardiola’s side, then Arsenal will be ready and waiting to take advantage.

Plenty has been said ahead of what promises to be a thrilling final day of the 2023/24 campaign. Take a look at all of the headlines coming out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours:

Arteta exit fears sparked

While Arteta could be celebrating becoming a Premier League winner, his future with Arsenal looks far from certain. The Spaniard has expressed his desire to return to his home country at some point in his career.

Arteta said: "I have always thought that one day I will return. My home draws me a lot, our way of living, of getting together, the culture – and that means I always have it in my head.

“But I am happy here [at Arsenal], happy with how they treat me, and I really enjoy my job. Someday I suppose it will come, I'm not going to be away for my whole life."

Arteta’s latest comments come amid a potential vacancy at former club Barcelona. Reports in Spain have recently suggested that current boss Xavi could be sacked.

Henry gives final day prediction

Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry still has fleeting hope that Man City will stumble on the final day of the season - handing Arsenal the title. Speaking to the BBC, the Frenchman said: “It’s in their hands and I know how I would have been.

“I had that like, (growls). It’s them, I’ve seen them doing it so many times to the (Sergio) Aguero moment, to the Tottenham game the other day to whatever. I’ve seen them not collapsing so it bothers me to think that they will. But the fan on the other side, the fan on the other side is like, 'Hey listen, you never know what can happen'.

“When the ref’s going to blow the whistle, I hope that’s not going to bring me back to reality because reality right now unfortunately for anyone else, is that only the City fans be cocky. Only the City fans can be talking.”

Odegaard reveals turning point

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has revealed the moment that has seen the Gunners put together a challenge for the title - their mid-season trip to Dubai. Speaking ahead of the season finale, the Norwegian said: “This season obviously we have to speak about the Dubai trip again.

"Everyone is speaking about it, like what happened there, and all that. But we were just struggling a bit before that and we needed that break and we went there.

“People brought their families and we came together and we got closer to each other. We had some time away and time off and it helped, we came back stronger and more together as a group as well, we’re just so together we’re a family and we love fighting for each other, we love playing together and we love to push each other every day. That pays off in the end.”
