There’s been a huge response from shoppers with a keen eye for the bargain after details of the find were posted by a savvy customer on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook.

Sharing a picture of the purchase, they revealed their shopping receipt that showed the kitchen essential marked down to £4.30.

The post has been a big hit with other members of the group and has attracted lots of comments.

One shopper said: "That's a great bargain."

Another wrote: "Is this for real?"

A third advised: "Asda has been selling loads of them. It is worth checking out multiple stores."

Many others tagged their friends in and asked them to have a look when they were in Asda next.

But it appears that the deal is only available in Asda stores.

The Fairy XXL pack contains 60 dishwasher tabs and Asda's website has the original scent for £10 or the lemon version for £8.

Some stores may reduce stock to clear space on shelves, so it's worth calling ahead to find if your local branch has them on sale or not to save a wasted journey'.

It's also currently full price at £10 in Tesco and Waitrose.

Bear in mind that prices fluctuate all the time and these were correct at the time of writing.

You can use comparison websites such as Trolley and Price Spy to price-check items across different retailers.

However, do bear in mind both of these websites work off the retailer's online prices which might be different to in-store.

It comes after eagle-eyed shoppers revealed how the supermarket chain sent fans into a frenzy after cutting the prices of bedding to just pennies.

According to one cash-savvy fan of the store, Dianne Munro, the popular supermarket is offering fitted sheets for as little as a mere 40p.

Informing others about the incredible offer, Dianne took to Facebook to show off the cut-price goodies she'd seen on the shelves.

As shared in her post, uploaded on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, ASDA customers can now get their hands on a range of sheets with major savings.

SAVING MONEY AT ASDA

Asda superfan Eilish Stout-Cairns previously shared five money-saving tips with The Sun which you could use on your next trip.

For one, she said, it's worth picking up Asda's budget Just Essentials range which could save you hundreds of pounds a year.

You don't have to employ this tip just in Asda either - "downshifting", as Martin Lewis calls it, can save you money across all major supermarkets.

Asda shoppers should sign up to the retailer's Rewards scheme too, which rewards you with "pounds" when you spend in-store or online.

You can also get up to 10% cashback on so-called "Star Products", which change regularly and are flagged to you on the app.

In other Asda news, the retailer is opening hundreds of convenience stores across the UK as part of giant expansion plans.

Plus, in January it revealed 82 locations where it is going cashless in a blow for shoppers.
