Dustin Johnson and Paulina Gretzky are one of sport's greatest power couples.

LIV Golf star Johnson, a two-time major champion, was already forging a successful career when he met his future wife, the daughter of ice hockey's greatest-ever player Wayne Gretzky. They crossed paths after he'd been paired with her mum Janet Jones in a 2009 charity tournament.

Gretzky, meanwhile, had been making a name for herself in the modelling industry and briefly following in her mum's actress footsteps, securing minor roles in a few films such as Grown Ups 2. She'd previously been romantically linked to former ice hockey star Jarrett Stoll.

And she went back on her word of avoiding dating athletes ever again, agreeing to go out with Johnson in 2012. It quickly escalated, with DJ putting a ring on her finger after just seven months.

Children soon followed, with the pair welcoming their first child, Tatum, in September 2015 and had a second son, River, in June 2017. They still weren't wed though, and their relationship went through a rocky patch in 2018 which reportedly sparked a row between Johnson and good friend Brooks Koepka.

But they survived and flourished thereafter before going on to finally marry in 2022. They're now stronger than ever and enjoying the fruits of their labour, with a reported combined net worth in excess of £100million.

Residing on Jupiter Island in Florida, they enjoy an enviable lifestyle with plenty of privacy - which they appeared to make the most of before last year's PGA Championship. Johnson was quizzed on his slow start to the season, attributing it to a back injury.

"Just pulled a muscle in my lower back," he explained, before being asked to elaborate on exactly when he did so by a reporter who questioned: "Swinging a club or lifting up a kid?"

Johnson replied "no" to the former before chuckling to himself. He went on to add: "Yeah, lifting up a kid." Before clarifying: "Just a bigger kid."

His crude admission sparked laughter amongst the members of the press in the room, while he had a wry smile on his face as he stood at the podium.

"I'm done," exclaimed the journalist who pushed for the response. The next in line to speak to him joked: "I don't know how to follow that up."
