The Premier League is over and the countdown to Euro 2024 truly begins today.
Gareth Southgate will name his squad this afternoon as England gear up to try and finally end their barren run without a trophy in Germany this summer. There is less than a month until the tournament gets underway and soon Three Lions supporters will know who they will be cheering on in their bid to become European champions.
First it appears Southgate will name a larger training squad of 30 or more players so that he has a group of 22 available to meet up next week. This is because any stars selected from Manchester City or Manchester United will require a break, while Jude Bellingham will still be preparing for the Champions League.
Could it allow any England hopefuls who have recently returned from injury or are on the cusp of a call-up, one final chance? We'll soon find out.
What time is the England squad announcement?
Gareth Southgate will announce his expanded squad at 2pm BST on Tuesday May 21.

When is UEFA’s deadline?
Southgate's preliminary squad will need to be whittled down in time for UEFA's deadline for the tournament. England's prospects will know whether they will make the trip to Journey by June 7, only nine days before the official start of the tournament.
When are England's friendlies?
England's preparations will first see them host two friendlies. Southgate will lead his team against Bosnia and Herzegovina at St James' Park on June 3. The side then welcome Iceland to Wembley on June 7 as their final outing before competitive action gets underway.

When does Euro 2024 start?
Germany will take on Scotland in the opening match of the competition, at Bayern Munich's Allianz Arena on June 14. England's tournament will get underway two days later when they face Serbia in Gelsenkirchen.
They will then take on Denmark and Slovenia to round off the group stage and hope to make their way to the EURO 2024 final on Sunday July 14.
