It’s been a rollercoaster year for the royal family, with Princess Kate and King Charles both recovering from operations and undergoing cancer treatments. 

Despite her absence from royal duties, royal expert Phil Dampier hailed the Princess of Wales as the “box office star of the royal family”, and said she is missed “terribly.”

A recent YouGov poll has found Kate to be the most popular royal with 76 per cent of people viewing her positively, which is an increase of six per cent since January.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry has been busy promoting his Invictus Games, which is held for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans.

The next games, which are the first winter games, will be held in Vancouver and Whistler in 2025.

King Charles has returned to public duty as doctors were pleased by his response to treatment for cancer.

Buckingham Palace revealed the King had cancer on February 6 after a prostate operation.

Queen Camilla recently joked Charles is "getting better” before adding jokingly "well, he would be if he behaved himself".

The Sun has previously revealed Camilla had urged Charles to "slow down" amid his health scares this year.
