SHOPPERS have raced to Dunelm after the homeware store launched a massive summer sale on essentials.

The pictures from Dunelm Worcester showed a wide range of homeware essentials slashed by almost 50%.
The retailer appeared to have discounted everything from carpets, lamps and cushions to bedding, wine glasses and blinds.

One person said: "Oh dear..I think I know where I'm spending my Friday."

As it is not clear whether the sale has spread to all branches of Dunelm, shoppers have been advised to check in with their local store.

Meanwhile, Dunelm in Edinburgh has launched a giant 75 per cent off sale before it permanently closes its shop in Straiton Retail Park.

Elsewhere, shoppers have been trying to get their hands on furniture scanning for £17.50 at the tills instead of £70.
One savvy shopper revealed that she's managed to bag a stylish bamboo corner coat stand for less than £20 after she noticed it was on sale at the homeware retailer.
The item is only available in-store and is no longer stocked on Dunelm's website.
However, it's important to note that stock will be limited and even if your local store has one on the shelf, the item might not be reduced to the same price.
