Residents are baffled after a large pothole was turned into - a speed bump.
The deep cavity was recently repaired but now two yellow marker arrows have mysteriously appeared on the mound of tarmac resembling a speed bump. Michael Enea initially logged the pothole on Backhall Street in Caerleon in Wales for repair around two weeks ago. But has now questioned whether the arrows placed on the mound were done by the council or a local resident.
The political blogger said: "Sadly, the ongoing saga over one of Caerleon's most dangerous potholes continues... I reported on how a treacherous pothole on Backhall Street (in Caerleon) had been repaired. The small, but very deep pothole had been a topic of concern for weeks throughout the back end of the winter.
"I eventually logged this for an urgent repair after ongoing feedback from local residents." Michael admitted the "shoddy" job done was "not a great repair" and "looks like a mound of tarmac" - but believed it to be safer than what was there before. But not long after two yellow marker arrows mysteriously appeared on the tarmac, resembling the warning markings seen on a speed bump.

Newport City Council told the local news that they "filled the pothole but didn't paint the arrows and someone else must have done that."
