Prince Louis gave off some key clues about how he had "something to prove" in a new Father's Day royal photo released today, according to a leading body language expert.

The youngest Wales was snapped in a cute Father's Day photo along with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and their dad, Prince William.

The three kids were seen wrapped around William while gazing out to sea on a Norfolk beach. Kate, Princess of Wales, took the photo herself, and it was subsequently released on social media to mark Father's Day in the UK.

The cute Wales family photo was captioned: "We love you, Papa. Happy Father’s Day. G, C & L."

But, Louis was spotted hanging his left arm down by his side, instead of wrapping it around his father. It could be a sign that he wants to be seen as growing up, and he's no longer a little kid, according to body language expert Judi James.

According to body language expert Judi James, Louis' demeanor had some key indicators about how he feels as the youngest royal. She told The Mirror: "Louis keeps his own left arm hanging down, suggesting a strong desire to prove he’s not a small child any more."

Earlier this weekend, Louis was standing with his sister Princess Charlotte, big brother Prince George and his mum and dad as the family watched Trooping the Colour from the balcony of Buckingham Palace after enjoying a carriage ride down the Mall.

He had a brutal reply for his sister Charlotte, who was trying to keep the mischievous little man in check during their grandfather's birthday parade.

Kate could be seen whispering in the ear of Charlotte as the band played, which delighted Louis as he danced along during the quick march of the Scots Guards to Highland Laddie. But it seemed to catch the ire of his older sister.

According to lip reader Nicola Hickling, as Louis danced, Charlotte appeared to say: "You have to stop doing that. Watch the parade", to which Louis replied: "I won't". In turn, Charlotte seems to say: "Do as you're told" and Louis added: "Nope."

It seemed Kate had her hands full as the youngest child Louis got distracted during the ceremony on the balcony. He appeared to cheekily tug on the blind cords as his mum Kate stood close to him, watching his every move. In his typical style, instead of looking out at the crowds, he pulled on the white cord at the window.

And shortly after, Louis was seen yawning while watching the parade from the window at the Duke of Wellington's former office. The little prince lifted his head back, with his hands behind his back, as he had a big yawn while his sister politely observed the event. But determined not to fall asleep, he danced his way through the show.

Trooping the Colour is a social as well as a ceremonial occasion and the stands overlooking the parade ground were filled with about 8,000 spouses, girlfriends and parents of the guardsmen and officers on parade. It featured more than 1,250 soldiers, and hundreds of Guardsmen were lined up on the parade ground waiting to be inspected by the King from his carriage with Camilla, Colonel of the Grenadier Guards, and joined by the mounted royal Colonels.

Earlier the crowds cheered as Kate waved from the glass coach that followed the carriage carrying King Charles and Queen Camilla, also wearing a Philip Treacy hat and an Anna Valentine dress, to Horse Guards Parade. Other royals in carriages included the Duchess of Edinburgh, Lady Louise Windsor and the Duke of Kent. Riding on horseback were Prince William, Princess Anne and Prince Edward.
