THERE'S no baby bliss for one melancholy mom who has admitted that she regrets ever having kids — but felt pressure to conform.

She revealed that she wishes her husband hadn't convinced her to have a baby because motherhood is not what she expected or wanted.

New mother BendyGirl85 opened up about her postpartum woes in the online community What to Expect.

She explained that she had turned to the anonymous group for support because she couldn't share how she really felt with the people in her life.

The mom clarified that she loves her daughter "to bits" and would never want her to feel unwanted.

But she couldn't hold back her feelings any longer.

KID CONCERNS

"I regret having kids. I never wanted kids but after I met my husband, he wanted them and I let him and society in general talk me into it," she explained.

After pregnancy and childbirth, she said that her life changed, but her husband's did not.

She noted that she doesn't have postpartum depression and simply misses her "old life" from before she had children.

"I get so bored at home looking after a baby all day," she admitted.

She is also upset because she doesn't fit into her old clothes that she still loves.

"I miss my pre-baby body," she added.

WEIGHT WORRIES

The anonymous poster revealed that she has put on over 20 pounds and is three dress sizes bigger than her pre-baby body.

"I am trying to lose weight, but I can barely fit in a 20-minute workout each day," she said.

The mom explained that taking care of a child is not only time-consuming but also more tiresome than she had realized.

"I miss being able to sleep when I want to, and weekend sleep-ins," she admitted.

She also said that she has "never been one to play with kids," and that hasn't changed since having one of her own.

SIMPLE LIFE

"People say, 'Just do what you used to do before you had kids, but do it with them,' but I can't," she explained.

Before having her daughter, she enjoyed solitary activities like reading, gardening, hiking, traveling, and camping often with her husband.

"Although technically you can do those with kids, it's much more difficult and not the same experience," she said.

The two times the married couple went camping after their daughter was born, she didn't enjoy the experience because she was busy looking after her.

After airing out her feelings, she asked others in the family-planning community if it would get any better in the future or come with a "new set of problems and worries."

Several mothers offered supportive commentary and feedback.

"Is returning to work an option? I love my baby boy, but love him even more when I can have some time away and use my brain at work," one suggested.

"We have so much fun before and after work and on my days off. I feel we get more quality time and I'm more present."

"I’d like to say that your feelings are valid. I’m sorry that this is how you’re feeling and also glad that you’re being honest with yourself," another commented.

"Being a parent is just a new stage in life and you’re right, nothing is ever the same."
