VODAFONE has launched a new and improved app for the Glastonbury Festival filled with extra features.

This year's Glasto takes place from June 26 with headliners including Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA.

The official app allows attendees to plan which acts to see, where and when.

But Vodafone has added some bonus tools to help festival goers out for 2024.

For the first time, fans can link their Spotify account to the app, providing them with personalised recommendations of performers.

Users who connect their account will also find a top 10 line-up from those performing, as well as a wider selection of recommendations via a Discover More option.

Elsewhere, attendees can now share their line-up with friends, the new improved line-up will highlight when one or more favourited artist overlap and users can now pin their favourite stages to the top, saving them time scrolling down every time to find their favourite acts.

And map pinning lets people set waypoints to meet their friends, find their tent, and remember where they parked their car.

The move comes as Vodafone predicts a massive 30 per cent data usage increase at the event this year, taking total data consumption on site to over 215 terabytes.

That’s the equivalent of 69,000 hours of HD video streaming or uploading 61million photo onto Instagram.

As official connectivity partner for the Glastonbury Festival, the network is deploying 10 masts around the site to keep up with demand.

Vodafone will once again offer free phone charging, Wi-Fi and battery packs on-site at their Vodafone Connect & Charge stand too.

"Glastonbury Festival is one of the premier events of the summer, and we want to make sure we deliver an app to help visitors get the most out of the festival along with connectivity to match," said Rob Winterschladen, Consumer Director at Vodafone UK.

"We’re delighted to have delivered not one, but a number of never-before-seen features to our 2024 Festival App.

"Map Pinning, Spotify Integration and the upgraded Line-Up features will massively benefit fans and make their Glastonbury experience even more seamless."
