Following the superb win, Littler was asked by Sky Sports what was the best thing about the special moment for the teenager.

And with a smart head on his young shoulders, he replied with three words, saying: "All of it".

He went on to add: "Coming into tonight, I knew I had the darts. I wanted to go into the break, get a decent lead, which I did and then become back out and win it.

“You have to take out the big shots, especially when someone is on a finish.

“I am glad I took my chances. I am enjoying it. I came here a few hours ago and the practice has paid off.”

The 17-year-old sensation looked more like a seasoned pro than a rookie play-off debutant as he blitzed Bully Boy.

The bright lights and record crowd of a rowdy O2 Arena did nothing to stop the Nuke repeatedly fire his darts into place with pin point precision.

An incredible 144 checkout in the third leg was the cherry on top of an astonishing average of over 100 throughout the match.

While the only time the youngster looked to be nervous was during a bizarre ninth leg that saw him and Smith miss dart after dart before Littler checked out with a double two.

Littler later too on Luke Humphries in the London final in a repeat of the match that led to heartbreak during the Ally Pally World Championship final earlier this year.

And he went one better this time by seeing off his rival 11-7 to lift the crown - thanks to some help from a stunning nine-darter.
