Katie Price has revealed her 16-year-old daughter Princess has banned her from hanging out with her teenage friends.
The former glamour model told how her kids don’t consider her a “normal mum” as she acts so much younger than her 46 years. Speaking on her new podcast, Katie Price: Becoming A Life Coach, the mum-of-five shared: “I act a lot younger than my age and my kids are like, ‘Oh my God mum!’”
Giving a recent example, she continued: “I said to Princess that I wanted to go and watch Ne-Yo in concert and I said, ‘Why don’t you come with me?’ And she said, ‘Yeah, but I’m supposed to be going with my friends’. So I said, ‘Why don’t we all go with your friends.’ She said, ‘Mum, I’m not going to take you with my friends.’ I said, ‘Why not? Your friends love me!’”
But Katie went on to say how Princess – like all kids at that age – is sometimes “embarrassed” of her parents, especially her mum, as she “never knows what is going to come out her mouth”. She added: “But they would never change me. They just say, ‘Mum, you’re not like a normal mum.’”
Princess isn’t your typical teenager either, as the youngster – who turns 17 next week – is set to follow in her famous parents footsteps and have a showbiz career. While she was still at school she landed a brand deal with online fashion retailer PrettyLittleThing. She was also recently crowned the face of Superdrug’s Studio London make-up line.

With a combined following on Instagram and TikTok of 1.4 million, Princess – whose dad is Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre - hopes to not only to be a fashion and beauty influencer but to help promote natural beauty instead of the cosmetic surgery look favoured by her mum. She even has aspirations to become a top TV presenter, like Love Island host Maya Jama.
Brand and Culture expert Nick Ede believes she could earn millions in the next few years. He told The Sun: “If Princess keeps going the way she’s going I think that, by the time she’s 20, she’ll be a millionaire.” He predicted that other brands will be "clambering to work with her" for fashion, makeup and hair lines in the future.
And Nick warned that Princess can learn from mum Katie. He added: "Princess has seen how fame can be cruel and also how fickle it is. Her downfall was how public she was, and I think Princess knows to keep elements of her life private, like her brother."
Last year and establish a Kardashian-like empire in which she could adopt a 'Momager' style role similar to that of Kris Jenner. Katie, who began her modelling career in 1996, said she intends to use her knowledge and experience to protect Princess from the mistakes she made herself and guide her through the "media circus".
