WEST BROM have signed promotion specialist Nathaniel Chalobah from Fulham in the hope he can pull off a hat-trick of successful promotions.

Now he wants to pull off the feat for a third time with West Brom after being impressed with what he saw of them on TV under Carlos Corberan.

Chalobah who has signed an 18-month-deal at the Hawthorns said: "Ever since I heard about the club's interest in me I obviously started following Albion's results a lot more.

"I’ve been watching plenty of the games recently and from what I’ve seen, it’s been pretty good.

“I definitely see so much potential in this team. I see that there’s a talented group of players here and I just want to play a part in everything.”

Chalobah was a child star at Chelsea, winning almost a century of England caps at various youth levels before earning his one senior England cap against Spain in 2018.

The experienced midfielder has also spent time on loan with Watford, Nottingham Forest, Middlesbrough, Burnley and Reading.

He also has experience of playing abroad after signing for Italian giants Napoli in September 2015.

Albion head coach Carlos Corberan said: “Chalobah has the quality required to make a real impact in the Championship.

"To do that he will need to consistently play to a high standard and take his opportunity when it arises.

“I believe strongly that competition for places must be intense and recruiting Chalobah to the squad will bring out the best in everyone.

“We will work with him closely to ensure he is ready to fight for every point between now and the end of the season.”
