Antiques Roadshow specialist Theo Burrell has shared an update with fans after having expressed anxiety over waiting for the results of scan just a few weeks ago.

Theo, now 37 - who's worked on the BBC show since 2018 - announced last year that she had been diagnosed with a grade four glioblastoma, a type of brain tumour, in 2022. She's said to have since undergone surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy "to keep the cancer under control".

The decorative arts specialist has continued to update fans on social media in the months since sharing the diagnosis. It has included telling her followers on Instagram earlier this month that she was preparing to have another scan. She went on to suggest that she would be feeling "anxiety about [her] upcoming results" and has now posted about them.

She took to the platform on Wednesday to share the update. She posted a photo that showed some flowers, writing in the caption: "Quick update ... stable scan results received today [heart emoji]. June 7 will mark two years since diagnosis."

It comes after Theo told her followers just days ago that she was having a "hard" week awaiting the results. She wrote last week: "Trying to manage cancer fatigue alongside the ups and downs of life has been pretty difficult. My energy levels are very low, and I feel frustrated that brain cancer is affecting my ability to do simple day-to-day things."

Theo has written about cancer in previous posts, including stating in January: "I was diagnosed with a grade four brain tumour (glioblastoma) in June 2022 after around six months of symptoms. [...] My symptoms included pressurised headaches, sickness, problems with my vision, pulsating tinnitus and pins and needles. These were all as a result of a 5cm tumour in my temporal lobe, on the right hand side of my brain."

She added in the post, which she's believed to have updated earlier this month: "I had surgery six days later, using 5ALA where over 90% of my tumour was removed. At this stage I learned that my tumour is over 40% methylated. I then went on to have six weeks of radiotherapy alongside chemotherapy (Temozolomide) before starting six rounds of adjuvant chemo. I finished treatment in March 2023. Since then I have been lucky enough to have stable scans."

She added: "The last 23 months (updated 7.5.24) have been a battle of ups and downs, all with the aim of staying well, and, quite simply, to enjoy living my life. I still suffer regular headaches and lots of fatigue, and I have learnt that pacing myself, in all ways, is key to feeling good. I go to bed early, I exercise when I can, I listen to lots of music which makes me feel good and I live day to day as much as I am able. My priorities have changed hugely, and I now focus my time on being a patron for [Brain Tumour Research] as well as being a mum to a three year old!"
