A stunning Liverpool pub scooped a top CAMRA pub design accolade.
The Vines, located on Lime Street, has been lauded for its exceptional architecture and commitment to historic preservation following an extensive makeover. It's been crowned the creme de la creme across England, snagging the Historic Conservation Award.
CAMRA has given a nod to the comprehensive conservation and refurbishment of the iconic Grade II listed Edwardian establishment. The meticulous restoration work on the historic gin palace, which included reviving the original 1907 tiles, the breathtaking stained glass ceiling dome, and the elaborate theatrical plasterwork, earned high praise.
The panel of judges were reportedly blown away by the restoration's quality, which has revived the building as a "spectacular example of historic pub design and craftsmanship."

CAMRA’s awards director Laura Emson said: "It is only right that the blood, sweat and tears poured into these pubs is celebrated. I would like to raise a glass to all these award-worthy pubs"
She added: "We hope beer-lovers across the country will seek out these breathtaking examples of how beautiful UK pubs can be, if given the appropriate love and care these much-loved establishments truly deserve."

Which? surveyed almost 4,000 members, with Liverpool taking the top spot with a score of score of 84%, beating nearby Manchester (71%) and capital cities Belfast (77%), London (76%), Cardiff (72%).
