The search for Jay Slater continues, and loved ones are desperately trying to piece together what happened the morning of his disappearance.

The 19-year-old vanished the morning after attending the three-day NRG music festival in Tenerife, during what was his very first holiday overseas without his family.

At approximately 8.15 am on Monday morning, Jay, of Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, rang friend Lucy Law to let her know he'd missed the bus back to their apartment complex, and would be attempting to walk back - a journey which would have taken him 10 hours. It was then that Jay's phone died, leaving pals in the dark as to what happened next.

Photos and videos have however provided some insight, with many scouring Jay's social media images for clues...

A Snapchat video taken of Jay the night before his disappearance shows him looking relaxed and happy as he enjoyed himself in the Arona area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The clip, taken at around 8.35 pm on the night of Sunday, June 16, crucially also shows what Jay was wearing when he vanished - a grey sports top with a light green strip on the shoulders and a black bag.

The video, which was filmed by relative Isabelle Price, has since been shared in a Facebook group dedicated to finding Jay, which has clocked up more than 40,000 members. According to the caption: "This is a clear video of what Jay was wearing the night he went missing. All of our family and friends are so worried, we're all just praying and hoping he gets found soon unharmed."

Snap of mountainside property

Jay was last seen getting into a car with two fellow festivalgoers he'd met that evening, and it's believed he travelled with them to a house in Rural de Teno Park - a 40-minute drive or 10-hour walk from his Playa de las Americas holiday apartment.

In an interview with Sky News, friend Lucy, who attended the festival with Jay, revealed how Jay had shared a Snapchat image of the property he had visited, which showed a mountainous backdrop. Shortly after Jay's disappearance, an American woman offered to drive Lucy up into the mountains where she says they 'drove around all day'.

Pulling clues from the pic, Lucy looked out for a lamp and some flowers Jay had photographed and managed to find the house in question. She shared: "I knocked on the door and there were two people there."

The occupants told Lucy that Jay had headed out for a cigarette before going back inside to tell them he wanted to go home. Lucy continued: "They told me he'd spoken to the next-door neighbours and they'd told him there was a bus every 10 minutes back down to Los Cristianos.

"The bus stop was right next to the house. So obviously if he'd gone to get the bus he wouldn't have got lost because it [the stop] was visible from the front door."

Mysterious final Snap

The final Snapchat picture shared by Jay shows a hand holding a cigarette at a property in the Buenavista del Norte area at 7.30 am on Monday morning - shortly before his 8.15 am phone call to Lucy.

Remarking that there are 'so many questions that are unanswered', Lucy said: "I can't understand why he would come out of the house and then decide he was going to walk. I think he maybe set off walking with battery and had not realised how far the walk actually is."
