LISA Riley paid an emotional tribute to her "bestie" - the late Robin Windsor - four months after the Strictly Come Dancing star's tragic death.

The Emmerdale actress, 47, remembered Robin, 44, fondly in a heart-wrenching monologue at the 2024 British LGBT Awards in London on Friday.

The Mirror reports how attendees were left in floods of tears at the touching speech for the BBC star.

It was later reported how he was found dead in a London hotel after a troubling incident over the New Year.

Speaking at Friday's event, hosted by Julian Clary, the Mandy Dingle actress said: "Mental health in the gay community is really bad, and if I can help in any way… then I've done my bit.

"I wish he [Robin] was here, he should be on my arm covered in sparkles and having a ball, but the energy he had is imprinted on my heart."

ITV stalwart Lisa added: "He would be shining down and laughing at us.

"His vibrancy, energy and zest for life was out there for everyone to see."

Robin, whom she described as "divine", was bestowed a Posthumous Award on the night for his services in entertainment and in supporting mental health.

It came after the ballroom and Latin Dancer's work with mental health charity Sane.

RAW REVEAL

Earlier this year, Lisa was flooded with fan support after she shared an emotional and personal announcement about Robin.

Taking to X after the news broke, Lisa shared a series of photos of the pair together.

She wrote in the emotional caption: "My Bestie, My Robin, My Angel…….now our forever Angel, who is loved, will always be loved, forever in my heart……my very broken heart, I love you, shine your beautiful, electric energy from heaven. SHINE IN PEACE."

She ended the post with a string of broken heart emojis.

Back in March, she paid her last respects to her treasured pal at his funeral.

It was a tough time for the TV star, who then sadly faced the loss of her aunt shortly afterwards.

SAD PASSING

The news of Robin's death in February was confirmed by Sisco Entertainment, which represented him in various areas of theatre and corporate entertainment.

A statement released at the time said: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved friend, Robin Windsor.

"Robin’s presence in Come What May was more than just a performance; it was an embodiment of passion, grace, and sheer talent.

"His extraordinary ability to express emotion through movement captivated audiences, leaving them spellbound with every step.

"Beyond his impeccable dancing, Robin’s vibrant spirit lit up the room, infusing rehearsals and performances with infectious energy and warmth. His laughter was contagious, his kindness boundless.

"His friendship was a gift cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robin, you will be deeply missed.

"Though Come What May will continue without you, your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in your light."

A statement from his agent added: "It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of our beautiful Robin.

"Robin's dancing started from a very young age and never stopped. He lit up any room he walked into, he was a nurturing soul always full of fun.

He brought so much happiness to anyone who saw him dance. Strictly Come Dancing, Burn The Floor and many other dance shows along with all the school children around the country who he gave his time.

"Robin was a strong advocate for mental health and worked closely with the ‘Sane Charity’. The dance world has lost some of its sparkle today."
