Ben Affleck had much to say about his wife Jennifer Lopez in his recent sit-down interview with Kevin Hart on the comedian’s show Hart to Heart.

Instead of speaking on the divorce speculations, Ben, 51, talked about how his life is now that he’s the husband of a pop superstar. During his conversation with Kevin, 44, Ben gave a specific anecdote that illustrated what it’s like to witness Jenny from the Block’s level of fame when they’re out together.

The Air actor and director mentioned a time that showed him just how famous and beloved J.Lo was, specifically in New York City where she was born and raised.

Which was in the Bronx to be exact.

"I think it was when we rolled through Times Square," he recalled on the show. "We get out of the car, we were going to a play, and I was like, 'F*** it, babe, we're going to be late, we gotta walk a block and a half.' [Jennifer] was like, 'Alright," she didn't say s***.'”

He added: “We get out with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and the s*** was like f****n' bananas,” Ben further noted.

With them at the time were all of their children. Ben shares his children Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, and Jennifer shares her two kids Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Ben went on to disclose that while he was with Jennifer and their blended family in Times Square the Grammy-nominated singer couldn’t escape being the centre of attention.

"I was like, 'Oh my God.' There was a lady, she was smoking weed, in a full purple skintight suit—she's a heavy lady—and she starts running backwards filming, going '-LO!!,'” Ben said.

“Like a herald, that then gets everyone else, and then all the tourists come in,” he continued.

The whole ordeal was a lot for the Boston native to process especially once they became surrounded by what “felt like hundreds of people” who were “all screaming”.

Ben isn’t one who likes to be in the spotlight beyond being on the movie screen. The veteran filmmaker and leading man owned up to being on the shier side, admitting that he preferred to lay low when he was not in front of the camera.

"I'm… a little bit shy. I don't like a lot of attention,” Ben told Kevin. The Good Will Hunting star even credited his seemingly grumpy disposition in non-red carpet photos to his shyness.

“[My shyness] is why people see me and they're like, 'Why is this dude always mad?'" Because someone had their camera sticking in my face, and I'm like, 'OK, here we go,' Ben clarified.
