Singapore Airlines has announced that 46 passengers and two crew members are still in the hospital receiving treatment after the ill-fated flight that saw a British man die.
The jet had left London Heathrow on Monday night destined for Singapore Changi Airport but experienced the severe turbulence while entering airspace in the region, which was experiencing extreme tropical thunderstorms. Geoff Kitchen, 73, is believed to have had a heart attack on the flight.
The airline's chief executive Goh Choon Phong has been meeting passengers, crew, their family members and loved ones in Bangkok today to personally offer his support and to understand their concerns.

I have given them my personal assurance that we will take care of them during this difficult time. Our staff volunteers are here to provide each passenger with updates and the necessary assistance. We have also facilitated the travel of their family members and loved ones to Bangkok and ensured that they are taken care of too.
