Aaron Chalmers' ex Talia Oatway had to rush their son to hospital

Talia Oatway has revealed she rushed her son to hospital after he suffered a nasty accident.

It comes just days after the mum after undergoing over a dozen operations in hospital. Former cast member and ex Talia welcomed Oakley, now one, as well sons Romeo and Maddox together alongside Talia's daughter Sienna from a previous relationship.

Oakley was born with the rare genetic disorder, Apert Syndrome and . Talia welcomed Oakley back home after six weeks at Alder Hey Children's Hospital. However, the mum-of-four has since revealed her son Maddox was taken to hospital over the weekend.

Posting on her Instagram, Talia said: "Can you believe Maddox's arm? So basically yesterday we were at the park and I was with his godparents and Lauren, one of my nurses. Maddox just landed funny and he cried for a few seconds then stopped. I thought he was alright then he just swelled and I was like 'nah this is not right'."

She continued: "He has damaged the elbow so it is in a cast now. I couldn't believe it, honestly you couldn't write it. One child out of hospital and then this happens. It is just one of those things that can't be helped. Maddox is so so clumsy as well. You know, there were four adults together but sometimes when kids land funny, you can't help it. I just feel so sorry for him because he is so young as well and he just doesn't want the cast on.

"That's got to be sorted bless him. Thank god he won't need the cast on for long, they said one to two weeks even if they do operate because its the elbow and they don't want it straight in the cast because otherwise he would have trouble bending it in the future." Just last week, Talia opened up on her son Oakley's health struggles.

Talia wrote: "After nearly 6 weeks of being in Liverpool, we are finally home. It has been the most difficult time of our lives, Oakley has been through so so much. I want to thank the Craniofacial Team at [Alder Hey Children's Hospital]. We have a great team behind us who not only supported Oakley through numerous surgeries, but also emotional support for myself. I want to thank all of the Apert families who have been there for us and helped us by sharing their experiences and words of encouragement."

She added: "I think it's going to take all long time for me to come to terms with what actually happened the last few weeks. It's been so tough and I've really struggled. I hope our journey can help many families around the living with Apert Syndrome. I will continue to share Oakley's journey to raise awareness of Apert Syndrome and support other medical families." According to Apert Syndrome is a rare genetic syndrome "caused by a mutation on a specific gene" and affects the skull, face, hands and feet.
