The Premier League season may be over but the work can't stop for Arsenal.

After missing out on the Premier League by just two points, the Gunners will hope to fine tune an already almost perfect season to overhaul Man City next term. London Colney and the Emirates is sure to be a hub of activity as transfers in and out of the club are prepared for Arsenal to go again.

There will be scant time for rest for the north London side's stars either. Many of Mikel Arteta's men will soon join up with their nations to compete in the Copa America and EURO 2024.

Talks to get deals done are already underway. With that said, Mirror Football takes a look at just some of the biggest Arsenal stories.

Lineker's White verdict

Gary Lineker believes that England boss Gareth Southgate should resolve any issue with Ben White, after the Arsenal defender was left out of England's squad for Euro 2024. The Match of the Day presenter waxed lyrical about White's performances this season and acknowledged his frustration that the star will not be in Germany.

"Ben White’s had an absolutely brilliant season, he’s a superb player," he said on The Rest is Football podcast. "I just hope and wish there was a way that Gareth Southgate could make his peace with him and get him out there.

"Obviously, with the injuries England have got at the moment, particularly back positions, and I suspect he could play anywhere across the back as he was a central defender, I think he’d be a really good addition.

"I understand there might have been some sort of fall-out but come on… He’s been fabulous this season, he’s very consistent and just a good footballer."

Midfielder looking for exit

The Premier League season has not been finished a week and already it appears Arsenal have held discussions over the futures of their fringe players. Albert Sambi Lokonga spent last season on loan at Luton Town and impressed but it does not seem he will be provided with another chance in north London next season.

Lokonga has made 39 appearances for the Gunners since arriving from Anderlecht but spent the last two campaigns on loan. The midfielder's agent has already been put to work.

Speaking to BBC Three Counties Radio, via Luton Today, Lokonga said: “For me, I had a discussion with Arsenal and the conclusion was the best thing for me was to leave the club, so now it’s up to my agent and the club to find something. I still have a contract there, one year plus a one-year option so let’s see what happens.”

Arsenal eye Ramsdale replacement

Amid the expectation that Aaron Ramsdale will be sold this summer, the Gunners are eyeing up a move for another goalkeeper. David Raya's took the No.1 spot from the England international in the summer and his deal is expected to be made permanent in the coming weeks.

It seems north London will still see some movement in their goalkeeping ranks as Ramsdale goes in search of first time football however. Replacing the 26-year-old sees Arsenal eyeing Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow to challenge Raya in net, according to The Telegraph.
