For those of us who love to keep hold of mementos and reminders of good times, it can be difficult to do this without causing a lot of clutter and mess around the home.

Things like your child's old paintings, locks of hair and hospital bracelets can be a touching way to look back on the past. And if you want to keep all of these things clean and organised, a Stacey Solomon-inspired hack could help.

The Sort Your Life Out presenter is no stranger to sharing her organisational tips with her fans on social media, and one mum decided to try one of these out for herself - and was so happy with the results.

Manchester Evening News writer Emma Gill spotted on Instagram that Stacey had made 'memory boxes' for all of her children, full of photographs and mementos from their younger days.

And so, during an IKEA trip, Emma decided to pick one of these up for herself and organise her family's memories so that they were all safely in one place, rather than just lying around the house. She said: "Obviously you can pick up any old box for free, or spend a few quid on a flimsy cube, but for something like this, you need it to stand the test of time and if it's something's staying above your wardrobe for years, then you want it to look nice too."

The KVARNVIK storage box with lid boasts a stylish woven design and is a really sturdy option - coming with a handy little space on the front to put the child's name too.

The boxes come in three different sizes and two different colours - grey and beige - but Emma decided to go for the biggest square-shaped one at £15 so that all of the memories would definitely fit.

They're a great place to store things like school photos, cards and letters to Santa from your children's younger days, and you know they're in a safe spot for when you want to look back on them one day.

Emma wrote: "I don't think either of them will appreciate it when they're older, especially the teeth, but these are for me to treasure - with the certificates and 'I love you mummy' notes that get fluttered about like confetti when they're little and mean so much more now they're teenagers and mostly refer to me as 'bru' or 'blud'.

"It's made me feel so much better knowing that all these bits and bobs are in one place and if ever I need to pull out a baby photo to embarrass them, I know exactly where to look."
