She gave her step-by-step routine to Harper's Bazaar in a viral video.

Wearing a bathrobe, the 58-year-old demonstrated her makeup removal process.

"First thing is olive oil," she told Harper's Bazaar.

She combined the superfood with other simple techniques to get an exfoliated and clean face.

HOW IT'S DONE

Shania delved into why she chooses to use a cooking ingredient on her face.

"Why do I use olive oil? You know, I’ve just learned that oil really does — anything oil based — does break down the makeup and flushes the pores out," she said.

Shania pointed out how accessible olive oil is, saying it's available in most hotel kitchens.

She applied a small amount of the oil to her face while rubbing it in.

For a makeup remover she added the second ingredient.

First, she applied the olive oil as well as the sugar onto the palm of her hand.

Shania doesn't skimp out on the sugar when it comes to her DIY scrub she's been using for decades.

She added that she rubs just a few drops of the oil in her hand.

Shania also revealed that she steers clear of makeup removers, making olive oil and sugar her go-to.

She emphasized that she keeps it gentle when it comes to applying the mixture to her face.

Shania avoided her eyes in the beginning, as to not allow the sugar to irritate them.

She used a cloth doused in hot water.

She gently used the face towel to rub off the makeup, careful not to be too rough with her skin, treating the mixture as a scrub to exfoliate her complexion.

Shania said she first started her olive oil routine as a teenager when working outdoors.

She added that using anything fragranced would have had her dealing with too many insect bites.

After gently removing her makeup, she used a cotton swab dipped in olive oil to remove excess eye makeup.

"My skin feels — even without moisturizer — feels so good," she gushed.
