Who is Jane Horrocks?

The actress was born Barbara Jane Horrocks on January 18, 1964, in Lancashire.

She shot to fame when she played Edina's assistant Bubble in BBC comedy Absolutely Fabulous - a role which she reprised in the 2016 movie version of the show

In 1993 Jane received high acclaim for the stage play The Rise And Fall Of Little Voice.

She later played the same role in the film version in 1998, and received Golden Globe and Bafta nods.

Jane is well known for starring in Sky comedies Trollied, and Bloods.

She also appeared in ITV's WWII drama The Singapore Grip.

As well as being an actor on screen, Jane is a successful voice artist, appearing in 12 animated films including Arthur Christmas, Christmas Carole: The Movie, and Chicken Run

For ten years, Jane appeared alongside Fawlty Towers star Prunella Scales in adverts for Tesco.

Is Jane Horrocks married?

Jane has never been married, but she was in a long term relationship with playwright Nick Vivian for 21 years.

They split in 2017, after which she started a romance with actor Danny Webb.

This ended in 2021, and as of 2023 Jane is single and lives in a sea view flat in Brighton.

Over the years she has had relationships with director Sam Mendes, and the singer and actor Ian Dury.

In 2022 Jane wrote Love Pants: Ian Dury & Jane Horrocks for BBC Radio 4.

It was based on her own diary entries and his love letters to her during their one year relationship in the 1980s when she was 23.

The former couple remained friends until his death in 2000.

Does Jane Horrocks have any children?

Jane had two children during her relationship with Nick Vivian.

Her son Dylan was born on April 28, 1997, and works in business.

They then welcomed their daughter Molly on March 21, 1991, and she now plays with a band.
