Celine Dion “barely socialises” and has “no interest” in finding love again as she is consumed by her ongoing health battles, according to an insider.
The 56-year-old Canadian singer has had a rough few years. In 2016, Celine tragically lost her husband, manager, and father of her three sons, René Angélil, to throat cancer, and in 2022 she revealed she had been diagnosed with the rare disease Stiff Person Syndrome.
The iconic songstress recently opened up about the condition in her new Amazon Prime documentary, which featured heartbreaking footage of Celine suffering from seizures. According to an insider close to the star, battling her condition while juggling being a single parent to her sons - 23-year-old Rene-Charles and 13-year-old twins, Nelson and Eddy - is so all-consuming that she cannot even fathom thinking about dating again.

Celine revealed the impacts of her health condition in her new documentary (Amazon Prime)Following speculation that Celine has been looking for a new partner, a source close to the singer told the US Sun: "She has no interest in relationships. Family and health take up most of her time, followed by her comeback plans.”

They added: “René was her everything. Another man would need to be a Superman in her eyes to even stand a chance of a date."
They added that Celine “barely socialised” outside of her tight-knit network of friends and family and the star “lives for her children”. They said: "She made a vow that she would never let her sons not have a parent around, especially after the loss of René hit them so so hard."

The Mirror has contacted Celine's representatives for comment. In one scene in her documentary, the My Heart Will Go On singer broke down in tears as she explained the impact the horrific disease had had on her infamous singing voice.
She said: "When I try to breathe my lungs are fine it’s what in front of my lungs are so rigid because of SPS (Stiff Person Syndrome).” Celine then tried to sing for the camera but broke down when her vocal cords sounded broken and strained.
