An Emmerdale star has announced he and his fiancée Sammie Johnstone are expecting their first child together.
Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle on the ITV soap, took to Instagram to reveal that he and Sammie will become first-time parents later this year. The couple took to Instagram to share a string of snaps, including one of a heart-shaped cake with the words: "Baby coming December 2024," written on it, surrounded by snaps of ultrasound scans and the happy couple.
Captioning his upload, Bradley penned: "Mum and dad," alongside a red heart emoji. He also shared a video of the set-up, which included polaroid pictures taken of them as well as the baby scan.
Friends and fans rushed to the comment section to congratulate them. One pal wrote: "Eeeeeeeeek! I’m soo happy for you! Congratulations again guys!!! Can’t wait to spend our maternity leave together Sammie!!" and another fan added: "Congrats Brad! Such lovely news." One happy user commented: "Wow that's amazing news congratulations."
Bradley and Sammie got engaged in October last year and shared the news with a sweet post on social media. The actor got down on one knee during a romantic trip to Rome, Italy. Taking to Instagram, Bradley shared a snap of him and his fiancé in front of the Colosseum, with the sparkling ring clearly visible.

The couple have been together since August 2021. Seeing the news of his engagement, his co-stars rushed to the comments section to send their congratulations. Kevin Mathurin - who plays Charles Anderson on the soap - penned: "Yes mate!! Congratulations to you both," whilst Emmerdale legend Mark Charnock - who plays Marlon Dingle - added: "Oh my god!!! Thrilled for you both. Xx," alongside a heart emoji and a ring emoji.
In the summer of 2022, he paid tribute to her as he marked their one-year anniversary as a couple. He wrote: "1 year with my soulmate!! How time flies. We have done so much together! Here is to many more!! Love you @sammiejojo92."
Bradley had previously been linked to his co-star Isobel Steele, who played Liv Dingle on the ITV soap until her character's untimely death. Isobel revealed the two were only friends and said: "Brad is wonderful and such a good friend of mine. We are very similar and work really well together when we have scenes just us two.
"I can see why people jumped to conclusions, seeing two characters spending time together on and off-screen! For the record, me and Brad are not in a relationship. We are just very good friends who enjoy each other’s company out of work as well as in work."
