Rugby ace James Haskell has opened up about being a new dad, and says he regularly swaps parenting stories with Prince Harry.
The former England star, who welcomed daughter Bodhi with wife Chloe Madeley last year, heaped praise on the prince and his wife Meghan, saying they are “brilliant parents” to kids Archie, three, and Lilibet, 20 months.
James, 37 – who became friends with rugby fan Harry during his playing career – said: “I speak to him every night every now and again. We’re just sort of comparing notes about kids always being ill.”
Asked about Harry’s recent memoir Spare, he said: “I [have] ended up inadvertently being a big defender of his recently.
“I just said I think people deserve to be able to say their version of events. It doesn’t matter what family you’re part of.”

But the former I’m A Celeb star said: “We’ve been lucky with Bodhi. She’s a good baby so our relationship has been good.
"My mum told me you need to put as much effort into your relationship with your partner as you do into that with your child, so we’ve had quite a few date nights since Bodhi was born.
"We went to Dubai because I was DJing there. And sex? We’re back on the horse, don’t you worry about that.”
While James says he is hands-on with things like nappy changing, the couple have had support from Chloe’s parents, Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan.
James said of the TV duo: “They are amazing. It’s brought Chloe and Judy closer so it’s been a really magical time.”
