Glastonbury has been crowned the top UK festival for electric vehicle (EV) drivers, with researchers giving it the thumbs up for charger availability.
The study looked at the number of charging points within a 50-mile radius of each event, with a keen eye on rapid chargers.
After analysing the 10 biggest UK festivals, Glastonbury emerged as the leader, partly thanks to its on-site charging facilities.
It's also surrounded by 'super hub' charging points at Solstice Park, Leigh Delamere, and TEALS Farm Shop, boasting a total of 368 EV charging spots in the vicinity.
Leeds Festival is hot on its heels, despite lacking on-site charging, due to its proximity to high-quality charging stations at Wetherby, Woolley Edge, and Ferrybridge services, which offer a combined 504 charging stations.
Maya Jama's lookalike mum is Mrs Brown's Boys star and mistaken for her sisterDownload Festival takes the third spot, with metal fans able to use the rapid chargers at Donington Park services and benefit from its location near the M1, which features 11 additional charging points.
GRIDSERVE's chief customer experience officer Rebecca Trebble advises: "Plan ahead so you know where the chargers are along your route."
She also recommends: "And make sure you're hitting them in plenty of time ahead of any festival traffic."
Trebble adds a tip for festival-goers: "Timing is everything and getting an early start can help you bag a great tent pitch at the festival, but it can also speed up your charging experience the quietest times to charge are before 8am or after 6pm."
Reading Festival clinched the fourth spot, offering on-site charging facilities, unlike its sister festival in Leeds but only 139 points in the surrounding Berkshire area.
It narrowly beat Latitude, which completed the top five as these festival attendees have 10 fewer charging stations compared to Reading.
However, the Suffolk festival is the last on the list to provide charging on the festival grounds while party-goers dance the night away.
London's All Points East is the sixth best with a total of 366 chargers within a 50-mile radius of Victoria Park but falls short when it comes to nearby super hubs.
This year's Radio 1's Big Weekend, held in Luton, ranks seventh with only 72 places to power up an EV it benefits from close links to the M1 and eight rapid chargers in the vicinity.
Wilderness festival in Cornbury Park, Oxfordshire taking place across the first weekend of August ranks as the eighth best for zero emission drivers.
DJ hero Gary Davies back to top of his game 30 years after Radio 1 oustingThe legendary dance event Creamfields is ninth with the facilities to top up quickly at the Roadchef in Chester on the festival's doorstep among the other 125 in the Cheshire area.
Finally, Boardmasters in Newquay rounds off the top 10 despite boasting the most charging points, 568, of all the major festivals.
However, the surfing and music experience fell down the list because it lacks on-site charging and has only a few super hub chargers close to the event.
