As Annie Kilner stepped off the private jet in Germany ahead of England's nail biting match against Slovakia tonight [June 30], it's perhaps understandable that she could feel a high level of anxiety.
Especially, as reports have been rife that her husband Kyle Walker's ex-mistress Lauryn Goodman could also be in Germany to watch the same match. But now, it looks as though a few of the England WAGS have stepped up to the plate and are supporting Annie as Kyle, along with his team mates, go head to head with Slovakia.
And judging by her broad smile while sat in the stands, Annie appeared comfortable and confident, despite the possibility of Lauryn flying out at the last minute. Kyle's wife announced she was taking a break from the marriage earlier this year, before giving birth to the couple's fourth child, who she was seen cradling.
The Manchester City star also shares two children with Lauryn who has currently been filming Celebs Go Dating. They have a son named Kairo, four and a daughter, known only as K.W, while he was still married. And while Annie has done her best to keep her head down amid the furore surrounding Kyle's affair admission, she seemed to be glowing as she laughed alongside England goalie Aaron Ramsdale's wife Georgina Irwin and their newborn tot.
Both Annie's newborn son and Georgina's baby were dressed in full England kit with "Daddy" emblazoned on the back of it. Bukayo Saka's girlfriend Tolami Benson was also on hand to support Annie as she took a seat in the stadium, along with Forward Ollie Watkins' girlfriend Ellie Anderson, as she wore a shirt with his number on it.
Carlo Ancelotti sheds light on Real Madrid 'exit agreement' after Zidane claimAnnie nearly bumped into Lauryn at the 1-1 draw with Denmark in Frankfurt on June 20. And it's believed that Megan Pickford was reportedly left shocked by her appearance at the game. A source told The Sun: "They have all known Annie for a long time. They stick together and want Annie to know she is not alone. They have her back."
Instead of burying her head amid news of Kyle's affair, Annie took to social media to release a statement on January 10. She candidly told fans: "I am posting this in response to growing recent media enquiries about my marriage to Kyle and in an effort to protect my family against the intensity of the media spotlight.Sadly, after many years of marriage and three wonderful children together; I have decided to take some time away from Kyle. I do not wish to comment on the position any further. For now, I ask that the privacy of myself and our three young children is respected during this difficult time."
Shortly after her statement was released, Kyle then posted a response on his Instagram. He said: "Annie is an amazing woman and I can only apologise for the upset I've caused her. She's been part of my life for so long and that will never change for the sake of our children. I would ask for privacy for all of our family, and especially our young children, whilst we work through these difficult times."
