Old photos of a baby Prince William have left royal fans shocked at the uncanny resemblance to son Prince George.
George's likeness to his father may be palpable in more recent photos. But historic snaps from the 41-year-old's christening show just how alike the two are - albeit with more than three decades between them.
William was christened on August 4, 1982, six weeks after he was born. Sweet pictures show Princess Diana cradling the tiny prince in her arms as he bites on her finger. The infant wore the family heirloom Spitalfields silk and Honiton lace christening gown - first made for Queen Victoria's daughter in 1841.

Magazine writes. Queen Elizabeth then ordered a replica to be made, which was worn by Prince George.
His christening was held when the youngster was a little older at four months in October 2013. With 23 guests, the baptism at St James' Palace's Chapel Royal was a slightly more intimate affair than the 60 who attended William's.

But despite the different style gatherings and updated garment, images from both have showed just how similar dad and son looked as babies. Now about to turn 11, the young prince and future king's resemblance to his father grows day by day as they're pictured together at events, including most recently at the FA Cup Final.
After George's baptism which was carried out by Archbishop Justin Welby, the royals were joined by his seven godparents for a champagne reception at Clarence House, before the family posed for official portraits. The late-Queen's Christmas broadcast that year saw the event described as a "happy occasion, bringing together four generations".
